Watching the step file demo the setup shows soldermask, paste mask etc.
Our mechanical team builds the pad geometries on parts in order to accurately show parts and their relations to say keepouts or obstructions.

The demo library I downloaded only shows pins (a few through holes were missing data).
Are pads geometries allowed to be output in the export?
Without those the mechanical team would still need to modify the output parts to add the geometries based on my drawings anyway.

There are over 100,000 users of Library Expert.

You can download a free Library Expert Pro that has interfaces to 25 CAD tools and 3D STEP model export.

There are 144 different Land Pattern Calculators for both SMD and PTH component families.

There is no license required for Library Expert Pro.

I recommend that you download and install Library Expert Pro and run it through all the tests you need and report any issues. There are no know bugs in the V2019.07 release.

Also, it would be nice to know any faulty data in the Sample Library that you downloaded and tested. It might be a case where the Sample Data was created several years ago and needs to be updated.
