I wondered generally how people treat a DPAK where pin 2 has been cut off such as:
http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/936-03.PDF Do you enter it as: TO254P1419X457-3_4 or TO508P1419X457-3 ? I've been using TO254P1419X457-3_4 since I'm looking for the pitch of 2.54mm which is what the dimensioned drawing shows. |

If you "Hide" pin 2 then the Pin Qty in the Footprint Name would be -3_4
The last pin number in the final footprint will always appear last. So when you "Hide" Pin-2 you have a 3-Pin package and Pin-4 is the last Pin number. If you "Delete" pin 2 then the Pin Qty in the Footprint Name would be -4_3 This means you have 3-Pins in a 4-pin package and Pin-3 is the last Pin number. |

Okay, thanks.
I'd only ever want to use the remove. |
