Hello,

When generating footprints with power pads (For example QFN, PQFN etc.) and importing them into Altium Designer, these pads are covered with Solder Mask.

It looks like the "Top Paste" layer is made into "Top Solder" which means there is solder mask on a solderable pad.

Which settings I should change to make a power pad into a one "Top Solder" layer?

Solder Mask is a Negative image.

The Thermal Pads are no covered in Solder Mask, the solder mask is completely removed from all pads.

Paste Mask is a Positive image and Solder Mask is a Negative image.

You're mixing you layer assignments up.

Top Solder layer = Solder Mask
Top Paste layer = Paste Mask

We never had a problem with this in the past 20 years.

Maybe I'm missing something that needs more explanation. If so, please elaborate.

Thanks
