For this part"SST39VF3201C-70-4I-EKE-T" in this datasheet:

https://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/aemDocuments/documents/MPD/ProductDocuments/DataSheets/SST39VF3201C-SST39VF3202C-32-Mbit-x16-Multi-Purpose-Flash-Plus-20005020.pdf" rel="nofollow - https://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/aemDocuments/documents/MPD/ProductDocuments/DataSheets/SST39VF3201C-SST39VF3202C-32-Mbit-x16-Multi-Purpose-Flash-Plus-20005020.pdf"

Has a package name of TSOP, however this package is not found in Footprint Expert.

What should I do in this case.

TSOP = Thin Small Outline Package

TSOP was created by a the marketing department of a component manufacturer to refer to the low height profile of 1.60 mm.

Since this was released years ago, the SOP package Height has changed to 1.20 and then to 1.00 and then to 0.80.

Their marketing plan only worked for a couple years.

TSOP is really just a metric pin pitch SOP.

Manufacturers have referred to the SOP as:
  • TSOP - Thin Small Outline Package
  • SSOP - Shrink Small Outline Package (Fine Pitch)
  • TSSOP - Thin Shrink Small Outline Package (Thin and Fine Pitch)
