What happens if POD parts are changed/updated?

Working on process here,....
Do we know if a part has been changed/updated in the PCBL POD database after we have downloaded it (date stamp, description, etc)?
Does PCBL notify customers of updates/changes to parts they have downloaded (keep a list of downloaded parts per customer)?

The POD downloads/usage is logged, but part version download/notification is not currently built into the POD database. We have no plans to update the current (POD) database with that feature, I believe that feature is slated to be a part of the new database.

Every FPX file has a "Footprint Date" column with the last update.
