Hi,

I am trying to generate 3 different footprints and I would like to have different drill symbols for each one of the drills since the pads generated have different diameters. I do not see in the pad stack tool a way to define this drill symbol. Is there any way to change it?

We translate the footprints using Cadence Allegro Design Systems Translator and we would like to have the drill symbols different in order to have them in our drill chart to visually check the different drills.

Also, every time we generate the pads we used to define a drill tolerance. In the padstack I do not see any way to add it.

Thanks

Drill Symbols and Tolerances are not defined in Footprint Expert.

They are defined in the CAD tool.

You can adjust the Hole Size Round-off. The default round-off is set in Options at 0.05 but you can change it to whatever value you want.

Best practice in OrCAD/Allegro is to regenerate drill symbols per design, just before placing your drill table.

Manufacture -> Customize Drill Table -> Auto Generate Symbols

It will automatically group pads with the same drill size together and assign the same symbol.
