Hello

In SOFL Component Type, the name of the footprint depend of family (prefix).

I want to create a SOT563 6 pin (JEDEC MO-293A variation UAAD) and I want to use the same footprint with the same name for transistors, diodes, IC...

In fact, I don't understand the reason why the family name is included in footprint name (in contrary SOT23-6 for example).

Best regards.

SC-70 is the 0.65 mm pitch IEC version of the SOT23.
SC-75 is the 0.50 mm pitch IEC version of the SOT23.

There are 3 pin pitches for SOT/SC series, and they all come in 3, 5 and 6 pin versions:

 - 0.95 – SOT23 (IPC & JEDEC), SOT346 (EIA) and TO-236AB (JEDEC)
 - 0.65 – SC70 (IEC) and SOT323 (EIA)
 - 0.50 – SC75 (IEC) and SOT523 (EIA)

The 0.95 pitch SOT346 and the 0.65 pitch SOT323 and the 0.50 pitch SOT523 use the same physical characteristics as the SOT23.

Do we use the EIA case code name or the IEC or the JEDEC? They're all the same package type per IPC-7351 guideline.
