Hi,


I am wondering if excessively large slot to multi-pin Part can be use to make it easy for hand insert? 
Is there a IPC Rule that defines or limit the slot length size for given lead width ?
as to address excessive solder concern.


Please suggest the standard for reference.

There is no IPC standard to address excessive solder.

However, IPC-J-STD-001 is the standard for solder joint goal acceptance.
