Hello,

Making a footprint for a Bourns SDR0805-220ML.

When the body is defined as round and the pads extend outside the component legend the Legend radius is reduced to half and covers the pads and the 3D model becomes a rectangle the size of the pads.  The Assembly layer is correct.

Dimensions are 7.8mm dia, 5.3mm high.
Pad is r800_270rt68.

In this case, Bourns provides a STP file so it can be replaced.

Any suggestions for making this part.

In FP Designer, the Round Body is mainly used for military connectors.

For the Bourns Case Code SDR0805 it would be best to use the Rectangle 7.8 x 7.8 because the Pads are so big they consume most of the footprint.

We'll put this entire series on POD for free download today.
