Hi, When I create a footprint for a SOT23 package there is no pin 1 indicator on the 3D model. The pin 1 indicator on the silkscreen and assembly drawing appear, but that is it.  Thanks Todd |

Component manufacturers do not put Polarity Marking on SOT23 packages. There are currently 3 pin pitches for SOT23 type packages -
Send us a picture of a SOT23 physical package with a polarity marker. Hi Tom, Thanks for the clarification. At some time in the past you must have included them as I have many SOT23 packages with the polarity marker. It doesn't worry me that its not there, it was just because I saw it on previous models that it concerned me that I had changed something for the indicator not to be there anymore. Thanks Todd |

Yes, we originally had a Polarity Marker on SOT23, but when the industry produced a 0.50 mm pitch, there was no room on that micro-mini part.
