Hello,

I have downloaded the PCB Library Expert, installed it and then I started the .exe-file. The little white loading window appears. After 20 seconds , an error message appears, which says following:

---------------------------
LPMath
---------------------------
System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing.

   at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(Exception e)

   at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.ParseDocumentContent()

   at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Read()

at System.Xml.XmlLoader.Load(XmlDocument doc, XmlReader reader, Boolean preserveWhitespace)

   at System.Xml.XmlDocument.Load(XmlReader reader)

   at System.Xml.XmlDocument.LoadXml(String xml)

   at ..(String )

   at FPXFootprint_DLL.ModuleSafeNet.()
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

At least the program starts after clicking on OK, and it seems to work, but it doesn't find my network license on the server (I've installed HASP License Manager, too).

Do you know a solution?

Thank you.

It looks like you may not have the .NET Framework installed. You can get it from Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851" rel="nofollow - here .

The newest version of .NET Framework is installed.
The HASP SRM Admin Control Center shows no errors.

I'm replying directly to your email, we'll try a couple different things. We may have to do a shared desktop. Regardless, let's try resolving this issue offline for now...

I have a customer with the problem as well.
They are shifting from windows xp to windows 7 64 bit
The license is on a server and the xp Pc had no problem getting the license from the server.
the win. 7 pc can see the license on  http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html" rel="nofollow - http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html
but when starting PCB Library Expert Pro the same error as above appear.

Please try the following:

  1. Ensure the USB Key is plugged in

  2. Go to this link:

    http://localhost:1947/_int_/diag.html" rel="nofollow -

Scroll down to the “Run-time” section

  3. Copy/paste that section

Runtime said.

Run-time Installer 5.40.6920.1
Run-time Package 0.0
hardlock.sys 3.50
fridge_lib 1.7.6893
aksdf.sys 1.30
aksfridge.sys 1.29.6880 (1,0,0)

So since runtime package wasn't correct registred I followed cmd line hasp uninstall and reinstall guide in the link below.
http://www.pcblibraries.com/products/fpx/userguide/default.asp?ch=72

Downloaded the  http://www.pcblibraries.com/downloads/HASP_Run-time_cmd_line.zip" rel="nofollow - HASP Command Line Installer
Ran a command prompt as admin
and typed:
net stop "HASP Loader"
haspdinst.exe -kp - fr -r -purge
haspdinst.exe -kp - i
net start "HASP Loader"

Then it was updated correctly and the product could pull the license from the server.

Thanks for the help Nick
