My company uses a lot of the JEDEC MO-241 packages. They are almost the same as your current QFN, with the exception that all but 2 pins are removed on 2 opposing sides of the device, and a specific dimension is used for placement of the remaining pins (not usually in line with the pitch value of the other pins).

Can this either be added to the list of standard parts that can be used, or added as another option to the current QFN.

You can "Hide" or "Delete" QFN pins.

The JEDEC MO-241B are "Standard" IPC components that can be built using the Library Expert calculator.

Just create the part with no missing pins. Then select the pins you want to Hide or Delete and Right Mouse click and make your selection.
