Version 2013.18 was just released!!

FIXED / ENHANCED:
  • When putting out PADS Layout .p & .d files, the terminals in the .d file will contain the ordinal pin numbers for pin mapping purposes. ASCII output will not be affected
  • FP Designer – missing Origin Marker
  • Updated the SM FPX file – CGA’s, TO (DPAK’s) and broken web-links
  • SODFL – S Dimension on Footprint Tab
  • Find/Replace text in Librarian Editor
  • Updated Help File
  • CGA & LGA solder joint goal periphery were set to 0 (zero)
    • To update your program, you must do 1 of 2 options (Option 1 is best but if you are using custom User Preference files use options 2 & 3)
      • Delete DefaultPreferences.dat and UserPreferences.dat in this folder –
        • C:\Program Files (x86)\PCB Libraries\Library Expert 2013
        • Start the program and it will auto-generate new preference files
      • Open User Preferences > Terminals > SM Grid Array > CGA
        • Change the VAR.+ value from 0 to 0.20
      • Open User Preferences > Terminals > SM Grid Array > LGA
        • Change the VAR.+ value from 0 to 0.05
  • Allegro - Footprint Names will now have a hard limit of 30 characters as Allegro has a bug which will not allow it to create a .psm file with more than 30 characters. In order to achieve this, for a Footprint Name longer than 30 characters, the 29th character will be a ‘-‘ followed by an ordinal number (i.e. -1,-2,-3) to avoid repeats. In 99.9% of the cases, it’ll simply be -1. This should allow parts with names longer than 30 characters to be generated in Allegro without issue. The directory and filenames for the scripts should remain the same.
  • Allegro – Fixed an issue with freestanding arcs

NEW:
  • Added Outward L lead, CAPAE and XTAL component families to the Extended Footprint Naming Convention to eliminate Footprint Name duplication
    • To update your FPX file in the Librarian – Select “Tools > Regenerate Library > Names”
