Hello everybody,

Regarding THT axial resistors, manufactures don't usually give recommendations about the pitch. I'm talking about manual assembly and bend the leads myself. Is there an IPC recommendation to determine the pitch or are you willing to share your method to get a good pitch?

Best regards,
Maarten Verhage

I generally use the diameter of the body on each end for the straight portion and add the radius which is what IPC-2221 specifies. See IPC-2221 figure 8-9 for complete specifications.

In the PCB Library Expert there is a drop-down menu called "Utilities".

Select the "Axial Leadform Calculator" -
