I have to support both Altium Designer and Mentor PADS. So to do so I have two license dongles that I switch between many times each day.

Is there a way to "Hot Swap" between these two dongles while still staying in Lib Expert? It is a huge pain in the ass to have to do the following every time (often multiple times each day):
  1. Input data from datasheet
  2. Make the footprint
  3. Save to a FPX library
  4. Export to tool #1.
  5. Exit
  6. Change license dongle
  7. Open same FPX library
  8. Find the just made footprint in the FPX library
  9. Make adjustments to footprint for tool #2
  10. Export to tool #2
  11. Exit
  12. Change license dongle back for next run with tool #1 (always begin the same way so I don't get lost in the process)

The Library Expert queries the available keys on startup to establish the license parameters to be used, then periodically confirms communication with the key. I'll speak with development to see how we might update this in the future. However this is why we normally combine options on one key (as opposed to each option on a separate key), let's discuss options via email.

Regards,
Nick
