As of late I have been overwhelmed with creating TVS Diodes that are Bi-Directional. However in both the "Chip" & "Molded Body" for example there is only 1 family option for diodes, and these include polarity markings on both the Legend and Body Outline layers which I have to remember to manually remove from each part.
Datasheet example: http://www.st.com/internet/com/TECHNICAL_RESOURCES/TECHNICAL_LITERATURE/DATASHEET/CD00279657.pdf Need to have a "Diode, Non-Polorized" family added to all Component Types that currently include Diode as a family option. |

A Bi-Directional Diode just has Pin 1 and 2 and not A & C.
We'll add a new feature that allows you to query the Diode Pin and change the Pin Names. Or do you want a new component family for DIOMB = Diode, Molded, Bi-directional? |

I am not sure about anyone else, but I would prefer a new component family.
1. To keep it consistent with the other Polarized/Non-Polarized family components you already have in the Chip & Molded Body component types. 2. It is more than just the pin naming, it would also involve the polarity (or lack of) markings applied to the assembly & legend layers as well. |

Bi-Directional (non-polarized) Diodes for both the Chip and Molded Body component families have been added to the V29 release.
