Hi Tom and Nick,

Can you give me the most important things to be taken care while starting with a whole new library system.

Like Footprint naming,Unit to be used for creation,Calculator settings etc....

I don't want to miss some critical things, Because it will be very difficult to implement after my library grows.

Thanks in advance

Rocky.

With PCB Footprint Expert, you never have to be concerned about Preference Settings.

The main goal is to create a good FPX file with accurate component dimensions and component mfr. attributes. This data never changes and it's stable when you insert it and it will remain that way forever.

The thing that constantly changes is your Preference Rules. But you can change them any time and simply rebuild your entire library with your new settings.
