Hi Everyone,

I'm checking out the library expert lite and one thing I don't see is how do you make a SMD or PTH tactile button?

Thanks,

Alan

You need to purchase the Library Expert Pro for non-standard packages.

Hi,

So there are more SMD and PTH types in the pro version?  Is there a list somewhere of what these are?

Thanks,

Alan

The Library Expert Pro has FP Designer and you can build 10's of thousands of complex connectors and unique non-standard footprints.

You can also define global User Preferences for your rules.

You can also save all of your component dimensions and recommended footprint patterns in FPX file format with all the manufacturer logical and physical data.

You can also purchase the 3D STEP model option and auto-generate perfect 3D models simultaneously with the footprint.

The Professional version is far better than any CAD tool editor in the electronics industry.

Hi Tom,

For example the lite version shows 44 types under surface mount, are you saying the pro version has more than these 44?  If so, which ones does it add?

Thanks,

Alan

The Professional Version has FP Designer to allow you to create any unique package mfr. recommended footprint. It also can build 200,000 totally different connectors.
Here is a very simple RJ45 connector with LED's that took 5 minutes to create and you put it in your FPX file and save it forever.
