The lip of a USB connector is designed to hang over the board edge for RA versions and to be placed at the board edge.

So after I build it with FPX designer, how can I add the extra silkscreen/assembly to show where the placement line is?

You cannot do that in Library Expert, but you can "Request a Part" and have our team build the perfect footprint with all the fancy silkscreen for 2 credits.

Why spend your time building library parts when you can get them the same day you request them at a fraction of the price of your salary.

Unless you're paranoid of job security, go here and find your part - www.pcblibraries.com/POD

Better yet why don't you finish building us a big library and sell it or give it away.  When you get the search engine working for POD and I can find things, I'll try to use it more.  Nowadays almost everything I search for gets redirected to have it built custom - even when I am confident that what I need is in there.

It is hard to handle the paper work trail for in a big university of $1 purchases here and there, even on a credit card.  That would be a lot of work - like building parts.

So you can't find your part on Parts on Demand (POD), it immediately transitions to Request a Part which is uploaded to POD the same day, regardless of its complexity so that everyone in the global electronics industry has access to it immediately.

We need your help to request the parts you need because other PCB designers probably need the same part and we would like to reduce duplication of effort.

There is no need to purchase 1 credit at a time. You can purchase 15 credits or 100 credits and use them anytime you want.

This is the future vending machine for PCB footprint, 3D STEP and schematic symbol library download.

I can see through a Vending Machine window and see all the choices at once.  Smile

When will you give us a listing of your data base as a spreadsheet we can download and search (offline)?  Confused

The vending machine approach would be a lot more useful that way.
