I'm trying to build an AVX 9175 family footprint (2-pin & 3-pin, uploads/91/capped9175idc.pdf) using FP Designer.  It appears that I can't build the manufacturers recommended footprint, I don't see a way to build a pad stack using FP Designer that would result in Associated Copper in PADs?

Also, I was thinking I might be able to get away with not using the optional 45 degree link (per the datasheet), by using rounded rectangle pads - but then I end up with 4 pads for 2 electrical connections.  (I tried making two of the pads mechanical in FP Designer and giving them odd names, but either PADs or the script from FPD to PADs seems to force it back to an electrical connection giving it a numbered name).

BTW, I assume the Manufacturer's recommended footprint in this datasheet is ok for a pastemask opening?

We're sorry, but this component package and recommended footprint are unique one-of-a-kind.

You're going to need to use your CAD tool library editor to build this footprint.

The "FP Designer" module of the Library Expert can create this footprint -- the PDF states that the link between pads is optional:
