I am getting quite a few die size components. I am wondering about the pin one marking. Should I mark it? Should the dot size be less than 20 mils?

A 15 Mil dot is about the smallest for both the fabrication shop and the human eye.
Why not box Pin 1 in a square? Or are the pins too close? These are the Polarity Marking in Library Expert. |

If you're in FP Designer, temporarily move the origin to Pin 1 and then place the box a 0,0 and make the line width minimum 0.10 and make the box 0.15 larger than the pad.
Box size = 0.10 line with 0.10 space + pad size. If you use a 0.12 line / 0.12 space then make the box 0.18 larger than the pad. |
