I am newbie here.

I would like to ask what is the standard pitch for adding Alternative axial Component?

Is there a range to be use to be able to get the Alternative Pitch.

Thanks for the response.

Michael

When you use Footprint Expert to calculate an Axial Lead footprint, do not fill in the Pitch Value.

Let the Calculator figure out the Pitch.

Then Round Up the pitch to the nearest 1.00 mm integer.

If you're using mil units, Round Up to the nearest 100 mil value.

Meaning if I get pitch value of 16.05 then my alternative pitch would become 17mm?
Btw I am using Altium Designer.

Thank you

Since the pitch value is only 0.05 over 16.00 mm, make the pin pitch 16.00.

I would say even if the calculation was 16.10 round down and anything larger round up.

16 mm pitch was the initial value then I would like to add alternative footprint larger than 16mm then what would be the standard range or increment?

Thank you

Normally, the larger the Axial Lead package is, the lead diameter gets larger too.

There are no standards for what you are trying to accomplish so you must figure out the pin pitch and the hole and pad size.
