Late Mid-May for V2020 Footprint Expert and Symbol Expert. 

The next release is V2019.08 Footprint Expert expected to be released this week. 

Then V2020 Footprint Expert Beta in 4 weeks and final release in 6 weeks. 

Symbol Expert will be a brand new product.

I need to explain that V2020 Footprint Expert is a 100% rewrite from Visual Basic to C# and there are a lot of features in the new program. And we do not want any bugs. 

It takes a long time to write a good software program and we're doing our best. I think that you will like the new Footprint Expert. It will be around for the next 10 years or more.

Will the on-demand license hosted on PCBL servers be available only for v2020 or it will be deployed before that?

The new Cloud License will be released this week for both Library Expert Pro and Enterprise versions. 

The next step will be to automate the delivery of the Cloud License to make it easy to purchase a low cost Lease. This will happen in April and stable by mid-May. 

Also, we are completely rewriting the POD database interface. It will have several million parts, BOM search, 5-Star Rating, Single Part Number search and the FPX file will have schematic symbols. 

Coming in Mid-May 2020 - 
  • New V2020 Symbol Expert
  • New V2020 Footprint Expert
  • New Cloud License for leasing software at affordable prices
  • New PCBPOD.com website

We are almost completed with these features for the V2020 Enterprise - 
  • 144 Standard Part Calculators 
  • Preferences have been changed to "Options" and it's completely rewritten 
  • Library Editor for FPX
  • Rename program from Library Expert to Footprint Expert because Symbol Expert is a separate tool
  • Upgraded Licensing and CAD tool interfaces
We only have 4 more weeks to complete this phase and release Beta to Enterprise users. 

The first Beta will not have FP Designer. It will take an additional 3 - 4 weeks to rewrite FP Designer and this will be done during V2020 Beta and released by mid-May. 

The V2020 FPX file format is upgraded. You can import a V2018 FPX file into V2020, but when you Save the FPX file, it will automatically add the new features. The V2020 FPX file is not backward compatible. 

We're just as anxious to release all the new stuff as everyone else, but we want to do it right and on a mass scale.
