Hello,

Is there a way to manually draw a custom body shape in FP Designer? I'm unable to find any information on this in the documentation. I'm not sure how to handle the body and 3D STEP for a inductor such as the following:

Thank you,
Chris

FP Designer is limited to Round and Rectangle packages and standard pad shapes.

Irregular pad shapes require poly shapes attached to a standard pad shape.

But we create unique pad shapes and package outlines in a CAD tool and insert that data into an FPX file.

We charge $10 each to create the most complex footprints in the industry.

Here is an Inductor very similar to the picture you posted that we created for a customer last week.

Footprint Expert users purchase $50 worth of POD credits and use them to order custom footprints that we create and deliver overnight.

You can also purchase a POD Subscription for $10 a month ($120 per year) and have access to 4 million parts. Chances are the footprint you are looking for is on POD. If not, order it as a new part request and you're the only one who pays for the footprint. Then if becomes free download for everyone else with a POD subscription. Ordering new footprints helps us build the POD database and saves you time and money.
