BGA Courtyard / Pad-Size old Version 2015.08

   First of all, this Topic is about an old licensed Version V2015.08 and due to a big automotive end customer with international global production plants, we must not use any other (newer) version. 
Maybe if IPC-7351C will be official one day. 
Comparing IPC-7351B requirements with the output results from Library Expert Pro V2015.08

IPC-7351B for BGA Footprints Table 3-17
Courtyard Excess for Density levels
N 1.00
M 2.00
L 0.50
Library Expert Pro uses 1.00 for all density levels

As the BGA pitch is 0.80mm, we use collapsing Balls
Pad size adjustment depending upon nominal Ball diameter
N -20%
M -25%
L -15%
Library Expert Pro uses 20% for all density levels
Nominal Ball size is 0.55mm - 20% = 0.44mm, generated footprints all have 0.45mm

The generated footprints for all density levels are the same, except the site of the local fiducials.

Pulldown Menu Terminal -> Settings -> Environment does not modify the values below for courtyard Excess and Size adjustment but entered values apply. switching back to another environment does not switch the values back. looks like there is only 1 value for all density levels.

Is my IPC understanding right that courtyard and pad size adjustment should change depending on density level?

Is this a (known) mistake by this SW Version ? (I am not asking for a fix)

or is there a saveable (preferences) setup that the next footprints uses IPC values

	First of all, V2021 can be set to output IPC-7351B Solder Joint Goals and Footprint Names. The latest version supports the 11 year old 7351B and 7351C. The old V2015 Library Expert Pro, users did not have access to Preferences to allow the user to change the default settings. The V2015 Pro you are forced to change all the drafting values locally. But most important of all, we do not support V2015 at all. There have been hundreds of new features and bug fixes over the past 6 years. V2021 is a brand-new 100% rewrite from scratch and the Free Pro version has every feature turned on including Library Editor to save your dimensions, FP Designer to create custom connectors and semiconductor footprints, Options (Preferences) to allow you to customize your PCB library and Batch Build to allow you to create 100's of footprints with one click.
