Hello,
is there any support for Support for Easy-PC from number one systems? If not, are there any plans to add support in the near future? Thanks. |

IYou can use the Eagle output from PCB Libraries and import it into an Easy-PC library.
You have to run a script LibraryToIntermediate.ulp that is bundled with the program installation of Easy-PC. This creates an Eagle intermediate ascii format file that can be imported to Easy-PC. This script is run within Eagle and creates the file that can then be imported into the DesignSpark or Easy-PC library. I've done this sucessfully. |

You should also be able to export DesignSpark. This creates an Eagle Intermediate Ascii format file directly with a change in the header for DESIGNSPARK_INTERMEDIATE_ASCII. The information I have for importing it is:
"in my
case i simply exported from lib expert to designspark. Then in Let me know if this works and I can clone DesignSpark to an Easy-PC translator and we can go from there. |

Hi,
thank you for the replies. I tried the Eagle intermediate file and that works in so far as I can import the sample file into easyPC. However, data ends up on the wrong layers. The placement courtyard ends up on the top copper layer, and the top silk screen is on layer 31. I can correct that on a component by component basis but it's not ideal. The Eagle route is slightly long winded as I need to read the library file from PCB library expert into Eagle before I can create the .eil file. I have requested an evaluation licence for library expert so that I can see if the designspark route is any easier. |
