I am using PCB Libraries 2015.12. When I use the BUILD PART button on the toolbar, it works fine and creates my *hkp files for padstacks and the footprint. However, when I try to import these into my Central Library, I keep getting an error:

Why does this continue to happen?

Thanks for any help/responses...

Library Expert only produces HKP files for V2005 Expedition ASCII.

Expedition V2007 and up is auto-import.

If this is a problem, we need to get it fixed ASAP as V2015.13 is ready for release.

Can you please provide more information?

Current Expedition only reads Encrypted HKP's. If you want the ability to read regular ASCII HKP files like was done for older versions of Expedition, you have to request a specific license from Mentor to do it(and they probably won't).

This is likely the source of the issue. We pretty much suggest people go direct import, but bear in mind that that needs an Expedition Library Manager license.

We are using Expedition Enterprise Flow - Update 8 for EE7.9.4
We plan to go to VX1.* by the end of year.

I downloaded PCB Libraries version 2015.12, updated the FPX files and tried again with just direct import and seems to have cleared things up.

Thanks for responses. Smile
