Hi All,
I'm trying to create a 4 pin DFN (Oscillator) with side terminals so I need a toe but all settings seem to be for bottom only (periphery). Is it possible to set to Flat No-Lead Side (as seems an available option in the terminal preferences). Many thanks

Are you sure it's a 4-pin DFN?
I would use the mfr. pattern and build it in FP Designer. All unique patterns are created there. |

I cant use manufacturers recommendation as I've been told by production pads are too large and cause issues. Wondering why when you select 4-pin DFN it defaults to No Lead Side but then when you put calculations in it changes to No Lead Bottom Only (Periphery)? I have manually changed calculations to get what I want (0.2 toe, 0 side, 0 heel) but interested to know if there's a way of selecting No Lead Side for these types. Many thanks, David

DFN's and LGA's are in the same component family.
The Terminal Leads are 100% under the package. Therefore a Periphery solder joint goal is the only option. However, the part that you are referring to is not a DFN package. It's a Side Concave Oscillator. |
