When I enter dimensions for a molded polarized capacitor the name it returns is, CAPPM7238X317N. This should be CAP MP for molded polarized. The M & P are reversed.

The "M" should always come last as the component family is Molded Body.

So all the existing CAPMP in our libraries should eventually be replaced with CAPPM?

In the Library Editor use: Tools > Regenerate > Names |

Then the names all have to be pushed backwards into the schematics.....

This is just moving forward. It was our mistake in this component family naming convention and we fixed it forever.
If you already have parts just leave them alone until you have the time to update the new name everywhere.
