Hi ,

I have been trying to figure out the Preferences and environment settings and have a few questions.

1. When set on the  Environment on the toolbar to most/least/nominal it looks like the sottware uses the default preferences for the software. Is this correct ?
2. For the above if you set the Environment on the toolbar to user then it uses the User Preferences. Is this correct ?
3. For user Preferences if you set the Environment to least/nominal/most does it save the those environment values in the user  preferences file ?
4. For user Preferences if you set the Environment to user I assume it saves the current environment values in the file . Is this correct ?
5. If you change the user preferences to least and the toolbar environment is set to user and you load a decal from the library the environment changes to least. Shouldn't it remain at User ?
6. If all you want is to change the drafting rules wouldn't it be better to just change the default preferences ?

If you look at the terminals environment on a created decal and scroll thru the L/M/N/U on the toolbar it seems that the USER values are from Nominal irregardless of the settings of the environment in user preferences or any other user preferences you use that have the enviromment set different.

Also if you have user preferences environment set to least and then have the scroll bar environment set to user, and then load a footprint from the library the toolbar environment changes from USER to Least.
