Hi All,

I am creating a symbol for two pin sensor but don't know what the symbol should be like and what about its refdes. Wish you can give me some suggestions on it.

If IPC has a definition on the symbol or its refdes?

Thanks in advanceSmile

What's the sensor for?

BS 60617 has symbols for a Proximity Sensor device, Capacitive proximity detector, touch sensor, magnetically operated proximatry switch etc. and also a symbol for "signal translator".

If it's something not covered elsewhere I generally use the symbol for signal translator and put something near by to indicate what it is sensing.

Hi Jameshead,

Sorry to reply you late. This is a ultrasonic sensor from Murata. I don't know if there is an universal standard on this.

Thanks,

I'd use a microphone symbol for this and maybe put the frequency range under it just to show that it's not a normal microphone.

There is another used symbol though:
