Fixes & Enhancements:

  • Library Editor:
    • Problem with batch building a library containing both PADS-To-CAD unique parts and FPE parts mixing up footprint names
  • Documents:
    • New PCB Footprint Guide - placed in your installation folder /Documents
      • To quick access the Guideline select - Help > Important Documents > Footprint Expert Guideline
      • Note: these three PDF files come in the current installer; you can delete all others as they are deprecated, updated and/or consolidated into the Guideline:
        1. Footprint Expert Guideline 1.41.pdf
        2. PCB Design Perfection Starts in the CAD Library.pdf
        3. PCBL Footprint Comparison.pdf
  • Options:
    • Drafting:
      • Courtyard - 'Apply Excess to Body/Pads' changed from Yes/No dropdowns to checkboxes
      • Origin - 'Target Diameter' has no effect and was removed (diameter size is automatically derived from crosshair line length)
    • Updated the ODA Pad Stack Naming Convention - changed the solder mask default oversize excess from 0.10 to 0.20 mm
  • 3D STEP:
    • Fixed 3D model offset problems in TH Headers
  • FP Designer:
    • Enabled Pad Stack Manager Pad Stack update button for use anytime to update pad stack name
    • Updated the Zero Filter pin names when using Reorder Pins feature
    • Updated the pad stack properties. The rotation cell value had unnecessary trailing zeros.
  • Calculators:
    • Corner Concave Oscillator - Courtyard was ignoring Silkscreen when it was wrapped around pins
    • Nominal Calculation Mode - SOP/QFP Pitch > 0.50, <= 0.65 was assigned to Pitch > 0.65, <= 0.80
    • Added a new Chip Polarized Inductor component family
    • Polarity dot location can be too close to body outline when placed to the side of pin one on some parts
      • Now moved to end of pad if this condition occurs
