Hello together,

I use actual SW 24V04.
I need a TI_RPJ0009A footprint, which is available in the semiconductor library.
But when I click on it, only the PADS Viewer opens and I am not able to build the footprint.
What do I have to do?

Thank you for your support.

Erwin

You must be using an old version of Footprint Expert.

The TI_RPJ0009A footprint is an FP Designer part created in V24.05 Footprint Expert pre-release. V24.05 will be officially released next week. The Texas Instruments Case Codes were updated in the latest version of Semiconductors dated 2/9/24.

Download TI_RPJ0009A from http://www.pcblibraries.com/downloads" rel="nofollow - www.pcblibraries.com/downloads

It's not a PADS file.

The only reason we create some footprints in PADS is due to irregular pad and body shapes. Then we export the ASCII files and import them into FPX file format.

You need to create PADS parts by selecting the FPX file Row and select "Batch Build".

Tom, thank you very much.

Even this was a missunderstanding, your answer gave the solution.

The missunderstanding was that I meant the footprint preview window in Footprint Expert  which has the title Pads Viewer.

Best regards,
Erwin
