Hello,

I was wondering if there is a specification available for the FPX file format.  I'm interested in creating some scripts to convert tabular data into FPX format to help us build up our libraries more quickly (like entering all the variants from a JEDEC registered outline at once).  I tried editing some files manually to see if I could figure out the field ordering by hand for a couple package types, but I didn't get too far.

Alternatively, is there any sort of API available that could provide similar functionality?

Thanks!

We don't have a published spec on the format, and gets updated from time to time. There was just a major update for 2021 - many things changed from 2020.

It would be a great feature indeed to be able to batch load dimension into LE. Or have a public API for third-party software. Perhaps something to consider for future.

We are quite busy right now as we're still writing code for V2021 Footprint Expert.

V2021.14 will feature all new CAD tool and 3D model user interface menus.

Then we're rewriting all the 25 CAD tool interfaces to improve them and fix any bug issues.

We'll take a look at this new feature after V2021 Footprint Expert is completed.

Then we can start adding new features.
