Hi,

After updating LE Pro to version 2020.01 I am no longer able to 'Add Footprint to CAD Library' as the button remains greyed out (i populated using Demo).

I have created the Cloud Activation Key and it is showing fine in my account.

Any ideas?

The V2020 release was enhanced.

Select "Help > Activate Cloud License

A Pro Key Activation Dialog Box will appear.

Select the Blue Dot with the ? to open Help / Instructions.

You login to your account and Copy/Paste the Activation Code Number into the Dialog Box.

Select "Save New" and all the features turn on.

There will be much better instructions coming today.

Hmm, that's exactly what I did and my "Add Footprint to CAD Library" button remains grayed out as well.

Yes i have been over it a few times now and there's a problem for sure....

The Installed Options in the client doesn't indicate which output is preferred. Despite showing as Altium Designer in my account settings.

Please redownload 2020.01, the builds were updated that will very likely address your issue.

It is possible that you may need to re-enter your key after install.

Nick

I downloaded the POD Builder 2020.01 (green button on the PCBL members downloads page) a few hours ago, and get the same issue as above.

I put the details as above into the POD program as in the details shown here  https://www.pcblibraries.com/products/fpx/userguide/default.asp?ch=310" rel="nofollow - https://www.pcblibraries.com/products/fpx/userguide/default.asp?ch=310

I presume it's the POD builder version I need to use my existing POD credits?

Actually Nick. I have noticed that whilst the 'advertising banner' changes. The Add Footprint to CAD Library transitions between being active and inactive.

I'll email you; it looks like you're using an expired SL provisional/evaluation license.

?The enterprise version does not support cloud activation; secondly, not all companies are allowed to connect to the external network for network activation; especially if the enterprise-related design software is installed, the Internet is prohibited.

Sorry; it was caused by my test error; I tested other versions earlier and the trial failed.
Successfully tested under the virtual machine.

You don't have access to the Enterprise Cloud, just the free Pro and POD Builder. We have several options for the full Enterprise Edition:
  1. USB Key (Single or Network) - this works offline, perpetual
  2. SL Key (Single or Network) - this works offline, not USB Key, but must be refreshed periodically
  3. Lease License - cloud based license on PCBL server

Please reply to my email to further discuss what you are using and how I can help.

You can get the Full Featured Library Expert Enterprise for Free.

Just pay yearly maintenance to get all the updates.

All our software including the new Symbol Expert is Free on a Cloud License.

Pay the Yearly Maintenance and you can download and install the Library Expert Enterprise Cloud.

You are then eligible to get all releases for a year, including the new 100% rewrite V2021 coming out October 1.

We'll look at this issue in a later build, likely in 2021, since the icon is enabled for most of the time.
Thanks for reporting it.

I get the below error when installing 2020.01 today.

"Selected library file is incompatible with this software version. Use Library Expert Version 2017 to update the file format or Contact PCB Libraries to request assistance."

I am using the free Pro edition. Cloud key seemed to activate ok, although it wasn't straightforward that I had to save the Tool type in PCB Libraries online account to get the program to load the correct options, FYI.

You can use POD Credits with the Enterprise, Enterprise Cloud, or POD Builder.
The issue was resolved it seems - please download a new build from http://www.PCBLibraries.com/downloads" rel="nofollow - www.PCBLibraries.com/downloads and try again.

Regards,
Nick
