I would like to know what is the proper footprint for a  0603 Chip LED.  I found this on PCB Libraries' website:

So where is Toe measured from? Heel?  And what is Least Density? What is Courtyard?

The proper footprint for every surface mount package is derived from the IPC-7351 mathematical model.

Did you download and install the Free Library Expert Pro. No license required and it supports 25 CAD tools and 3D STEP.

Just enter the package dimensions and tolerances to calculate the perfect 0603 footprint.

Thank you,

I have done so, it is very helpful.

It would be nice to have a dimension tool for the generated footprint view.
