Hi,

Really have two suggestions at the moment:

1) Option to add a pad to chip resistors (high power) which have thermal tabs.

2) More exotic dual SMD LED packages are similar to the Oscillator, concave corner component; maybe it should be made clearer that the oscillator footprint could be used for these type of LED's or a new generic component for concave corner SMD packages.

Thanks

To add a Thermal Pad to a Resistor, first calculate the 2-pin part in the Chip calculator.

Then move the part to FP Designer.

Then select the Pad Stack Manager icon and select "NEW" to add a new pad stack for the Thermal Pad.

Here is a sample video of how to do this -  http://www.pcblibraries.com/products/fpx/userguide/default.asp?ch=7.6" rel="nofollow - http://www.pcblibraries.com/products/fpx/userguide/default.asp?ch=7.6

There are 70 videos in the "Help > Topics" in Library Expert and they are also on our website here -

You can also build your SMD LED in FP Designer.

Thanks. Will look at FP designer. Can kind of understand you can't cover everything in the main core of the program.

Cheers

The V2020 Library Expert will many new features that will allow you to create any schematic symbol and footprint regardless of complexity. It will be released before September.

But right now, FP Designer can create most complex parts, but you need to watch all the videos in the FP Designer section of program "Help > Topics > Contents > FP Designer"

Each video illustrates different various features of that module.
