I've succesfully created a SO with tab footprint. The paste stencil has a chequered pattern with 50% coverage.

So far so good. But when generating this footprint and subsequently importing it in CADSTAR, there is no trace of the chequered pastern stencil (paste mask).

Is there any way that allows correctly generating and importing this for CADSTAR?

Kind regards,
Marc

Please make sure you're using v2015.10.

I just ran the reference SON w/tab into CADSTAR and the top paste checkerboard was coming through perfect (also @ 50% coverage).

Thanks for the reply and confirmation.

I have now installed PLE Lite 2015.10 (was 2015.08) and tried again (export to CADSTAR v15).

By looking at the generated archive (text) file and with some additional CADSTAR support I've found the problem(s):
1. the outline line width (0.01mm) of the pattern was set at 0 in CADSTAR assignments, hence it is not visible (although filled) unless setting it to a non-0 width.
2. the pad covers the pattern on Paste Mask layer (it needs to be reassigned to 0 size on Paste Mask layer)

The first problem is a (my) user error, but the second one might IMHO be considered a PLE bug.

Anyway, problem not 100% solved but I can circumvent/correct it now.

Kind regards,
Marc
