Hi,

Does PCB Libraries automate the creation of JEDEC TO-277 parts? It's not quite a 3-Pin DFN, since the pads stick out beyond the body. I think I have to make it by hand, but I figured I should check to see if I'm missing something.

I tried using the DFN 3-Pin option, and it mostly worked. The only issue is the 3D model of the pads where they stick out is wrong.

The JEDEC TO-277 is normally FP Designer footprint but you may trick the 3-Pin DFN by using the Footprint Tab to insert the mfr. recommended pattern data.

Either way, an accurate 3D STEP model needs to be manually created.

Here is the JEDEC TO-277A STEP file that should also match Vishay -

Download STEP file here: JEDEC_TO-277A.zip

This STEP file is in the Top Plane Rotation Y.

You can use the Library Expert - Tool Box - to rotate the model to the Z axis (Right Plane).
