Version 26.01 was just released!!

Fixes & Enhancements:

  • Calculators:
    • DFN 3-Pin – when using the ‘mfr. recommended pattern’, the G and G1 dimension entries swap when the Calculate button is selected
    • Rounded Rectangle corner radius was calculated using the original calculation and not the mfr. recommended pattern
    • CAPAE threw a Handled Exception error message if the Calculate button was selected with missing dimensions
  • FPX Library:
    • The Library Editor will now stay open or closed in the same location as when the program closes
    • Issue regarding keepout and non-plated hole keepout from FPX files created prior to V25.02
  • 3D STEP:
    • Creating through-hole footprints in mil units – the lead extension was not working correctly
    • PLCC polarity dot was not created in the 44-pin version
  • CAD Tools:
    • Altium:
      • Added new Option for Ref Des justification
      • Changed enabling and error listing for Altium eMechanical layers
    • Cadence:
      • Allegro/OrCAD V25.1 script error for part description and ref des justification
      • Issue with silkscreen pin 1 polarity dot not sizing correctly
  •  Options:
    • Drafting > Silkscreen > Set Margin wasn’t working of small chip footprints
    • The Design Option/FP Inclusions checkbox option for turning on/off the Solder Mask layer did not turn off the gang mask drafting shape
    • New Circle assembly polarity marker added
      • Assembly polarity now includes options for a Dot, Circle, Chamfer & None
