Hi,
i have some questions about the latest version of PCB Library Expert Pro (Free Version). After installation, when start the program, it aks for "Cloud Key Activation" for enable export. For use Library Expert FREE version is absolute necessary to activate the "Cloud Key" ? With the "Cloud Key Activation" it's possible to switch from one CAD output format to another ? For example switch from Allegro/OrCAD PCB Editor to PADS Layout and vice-versa ? I'm using the Library Expert Pro FREE Edition from many years. In older versions of the Library Expert, the switch from one CAD output format to another are free and easy. Is not available now ? I look forward to hearing from you. Yes, the free version only works with an online license.
Steps for setting up the online Pro Key as well as switching from one CAD format to another: If you need to switch more frequently than once time per day, set up multiple accounts, or just get the leased license for only the cost of maintenance - it comes to over 80% discount from the cost of a perpetual license, and you currently get free 3D STEP if a new customer. |

You've been using the Free Library Expert Pro for many years.
V2020 Library Expert Pro is still free with all the features but it requires a Cloud License. All non-licensed versions of Library Expert Pro (from several years back) will be discontinued and disconnected from the internet in mid-October and will no longer function. If you want uninterrupted service and use of the software program, you must upgrade to V2020. Also, we will release the new 100% rewrite V2021 by November 1st and it requires a Cloud License. The same Cloud License that you used for the old V2020. So you have a path forward into the future. |

Thank you Thom, Thank you Nick, for your fast replies. Ok for upgrade to V2020, i have activate the "Cloud License" and i'm very glad to have Library Expert Pro FREE ! Thank you very very much fo your great work Thom ! I need to switch frequentely only some time. I use OrCAD Professional like a primary system, but some time i need to use also PADS ES suite. If it is possible how can I create multiple accounts? Can you tell me how to do it ? My best regards, Gianni.
