A component I.E. DIODFN98X58X50-2

Has a physical description that is exported as a component attribute.

What about the case code etc?

Many users know their components by what you have as the case code and this would be ideal information to output.

As would the rest, so the ability to pick this information and export it as component attributes would be very handy.

QuIck answer there Tom :)

It could be nice if it could output the information entered into these separate columns as Attributes into
CADSTAR ;)

It looks like that's it for the V2016 release.

Looking forward to V2017.

Maybe we can get this request in there.

You moved it every year.

It was requested 4 years ago. And was it was previously available.

We would need some technical support from CADSTAR users to tell the programmers where in the CADSTAR ASCII Code does this information go.

We need several samples of existing parts with this information.

We're trying to support 23 CAD tools and all of their unique features. This is not easy unless someone provides samples and examples to help make the feature request possible.

Chris Arnold is Library Expert CAD tool interface programmer and you should direct all sample data to him.

Cheers Chris, let me know if you need any more information.
You should be able to export it in the same way you export the description and height as they come in as component attributes OK.
As much as it may be the plan for everyone to use the IPC naming convention - manufacturers still do not nor do I think they will - they continue to use the JEDEC names etc. so having this available is helpful.
