PCBLibraries Library Expert Enterprise Edition 2018.08 OrCad PCB license.
I had to uninstall Cadence Allegro and reinstall it, putting it on an external flash drive. At first the scripts could not find the /tools folder, so I followed the instructions to add references in the Path environment variable and create %CDSROOT%.

Now the scripts run and the pads are created, but when it tries to create the part I get this new screen:

Basically asking for the parameters for a new part, canvas size and so on. I have never seen this screen before. Whether I click OK or Cancel it fails silently, leaving me with an open part editing screen but no pads etc. The progress bar in the Create Footprint screen goes fully green very fast and it says "Part Created!" but there is no part on the Allegro screen or in the folder. Allegro.jrl shows the "Starting new design..." message but adds no pads.
It does the same thing if I try to run the script manually using File-Import-Script... Here is the .jrl file allegro_-_Copy.jrl.txt UltraLibrarian still works so probably my setup is OK.

Are you using Allegro V17.2.048?

Are you using V2018.08 Library Expert software?

Do you need to read the User Guide?
