Hi,

Is it possible to display dimension in the graphical viewer portion of Footprint expert.

Like the old calculators.

Any help will be appreciated.

Due to new features like "Mirror" to see the "Bottom Side" of BGA, LGA and CGA parts to match the component mfr. datasheet and the new "Rotate" feature to allow User Defined rotations to match IPC, IEC or EIA or User Defined, it's impossible to have any dimensions in the Viewer. So the component dimensions are now in a Static Graphic.

You can query objects Pins, Lines, Shapes, etc. to get coordinate data. The Footprint Tab displays the pad size. The Padstack Manager provides some information.

PCB Libraries, Inc. #1 goal is to have 30 million FPX files available for download on the cloud so that no one will ever have to type in component dimensions or component mfr. attributes. Once the main engine is in place and every part in the world is available to our users, the need for Footprint dimensions will be non-existent.
