In the document:
Guidelines taken from IPC-7351 Footprint Expert Land Pattern Naming Convention;

the SOT23 naming convention is this:

SOT23 .........SOT23 - Pin Qty. + P Pitch _ Lead Span X Body Height + L Lead Length

but in the SW PCB expert (I'm using the demo version) the example of a SOT23 component (part number REF3318AIDCKT) is the following:

SOT23-3P65_210X110L36X22

I don't understand the meaning of the 4 last digits (36X22)

I imagine that 36 takes reference to L Lead Length and 22 to Lead Width, but in the datasheet these two values are different:

Lead Length range is: 0.20 - 0.60
Lead Width range is: 0.30 - 0.50

so I don't understand why in the SW the final digits are (36X22)
I'm missing something or there is other rule for the naming convention that I'm not following?

Best Regards

The L dimensions are Nominal.

Here is the datasheet for the TI Case Code DCK0003A

Ok ok, the difference is that you are seeing the measures of SOT-SC70 and I'm seeing the measures of SOT-23 in the datasheet.

I saw that the PN details, in reality, the REF3318AIDCKT is a SOT-SC70.

At first, I saw the SOT-23 indications directly on the datasheet, because the physical description in the SW of the part number indicates an SOT-23.

Thanks!!Tongue
