Hello,

I have a somewhat odd example of an SOT353 package with 2 different pin 1 cases as follows:

I created the SOT353 with the Calculator and then cloned the part and renamed it SOT353-180D. I now need to customize this version by moving the pin 1 chamfer to the upper right without renumbering the pads. How would you recommend doing this? It does not seem like I can open a part in FP Designer that was created using the calculator. Is my only option to create this part from scratch in FP Designer?

Thanks,
Chris

FYI... I checked and you have this part available for free in POD but it is wrong.

Pin 1 should be as I've indicated above in SOT353-180D.

The part number is Diodes Inc. MMBD4448HCQW.

I guess Diodes, Inc. has multiple pin configurations for their SOT-353. Very unusual for a top-rated component manufacturer.

Diodes does not call the Case Code for the MMBD4448HCQW part number SOT353-180D.

Nor does it actually print the pin assignments in the MMBD4448HCQW datasheet -

Here's another part number:

The Diodes part number series MMBD4448HCQW on POD will be updated by Monday morning with the new Case Code - SOT353-180D

Thank you for reporting this issue.

SOT-353-180D is my name, to differentiate the two. Anyway, the datasheet indicates case labeling will have a pin 1 marker, so assembly will be confused if I don't crate a custom part for this.

So how should I handle this?

Thanks,
Chris

OK, I will pull the part from POD on Monday when it's ready.

Thanks, Tom!
