I am just starting to use the 3D step files with Allegro.

I have a 16 pin right angle connector footprint.

The 3D part I view in Allegro is rotated 90 degrees.

Shouldn't the step files match the footprint?

In the CAD tool Translator menu, at the bottom is the 3D STEP options.

Do you have the Vertical Axis set to "Z" or "Y".

Allegro uses "Z".

The 3D STEP model always aligns with the corresponding footprint.

That fixed it. Thanks!
