Would it be possible to implement a function to create and show a custom text string on the surface of a created 3D model.

For example if you create a model for a resistor 0402 I would like to have a text R0402 on top of the resistor. 

Or an IC named iMX.6 so it is easier to identify the parts in 3D view.
