Hello,

Maybe it's a feature and I do not understand this feature.

... under:
Footprint
Dimensions Use manufacturer's recommended dimensions.

There is a radiobox.
If I select (Use manufacturer's recommended dimensions), I can edit.
If I unselect, it is greyed out.
... and no Button to restore the manufacturer's recommended dimensions.

Which

Manufacturer's Recommended Dimensions does it effect?

After you enter the physical component dimensions you can select the Footprint tab and enter the mfr. recommended pad sizes and spacing.

The you can look at the viewer and see where the pad is in relation to the Component Terminal Leads.

If the Terminal Leads fall off the pad then the mfr. recommended pattern is faulty.

If you get good results then add the data to your FPX file.

Then you can remove the Footprint Dimensions and see the IPC-7351 pattern.

If you want to recall the Mfr. Recommended Footprint reopen the part in the FPX file that you saved.
