It seems if i want to generate footprint for Altium, i should choose PADs' format then import them in to Altium. It always work for rectangle pad, but when i choose rounded rectangle pad and import the .d and .p file into Altium, the generated library are "messed"!!!  I choose the 2005.2 version.

And i want to know if i can choose higher version, such as pads 9.3 ???

PADS 9.3 supports rounded rectangles.  Many earlier versions of PADS do not.  I don't know at what 9.x version PADS started supporting rounded rectangles but it FPX has been outputting rounded rectangles in 9.3 for import in Pulsonix that also supports rounded rectangles for quite some time.

PADS Layout version 9.1 introduced Rounded Rectangle pad shape.

If you select any PADS version less than V9.1 you will get "Associated Copper".

I'm not sure that Altium Designer supports PADS V9.1 or higher, but they should.

Also, we are working with Altium on a direct interface but Altium management is dragging their feet. Please contact your Altium rep and tell them to either support PADS import V9.1 or greater or work with PCB Libraries, Inc. on a direct interface.
